Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT®) was founded by Marisa Peer, a therapist and hypnotist with over three decades of experience. Her method has helped millions of people around the world make sense of, and move past, what’s been holding them back.
“My mission is to help you realise you are enough, and to give you the tools to live as if you’ve always known it”. - Marisa Peer
RTT® is a blended therapeutic approach that combines elements of hypnotherapy and talking therapies, such as psychotherapy to work directly with the unconscious mind.
The unconscious mind is where our memories and life experiences are stored. We attach thoughts, perceptions and feelings to these experiences which over time shape our habits, responses and deep-rooted beliefs about ourselves and the world around us.
RTT® looks to uncover the cause of your struggles by gently uncovering the thoughts and beliefs that cause you distress. Once these beliefs are understood and reframed, you’ll naturally begin to release old emotional wounds, unhelpful behaviours and outdated patterns.
During a session I’ll guide you into a deeply relaxing, hypnotic state and lead you through the process by asking a series of questions intended to help you reach that understanding.
From there we’ll use simple and effective techniques to help you build new, empowering beliefs that support the life you want to live.
Unlike other forms of therapy, RTT® is a faster, solution-focused approach. For some individuals, one session of RTT is enough to understand the root of their issue and let it go. For others, unraveling issues may take longer, so 3 or more sessions are recommended.
Many people go to therapy with a sense of what their problem is. Talking therapies, such as psychotherapy, can help you talk through it, understand it and even name it, but naming a problem isn’t the same as changing how you respond to it. The gap between understanding a problem and feeling different is often where people get stuck.
RTT® works on the basis that your subconscious already knows exactly where a problem comes from. By guiding you into hypnosis and asking a series of questions, we can trace the issue back to its root, and very often that root sits in childhood. But a childhood experience is almost impossible to unravel with an adult mind, because we’re trying to reason our way through feelings and beliefs that were never formed rationally in the first place.
In hypnosis, you’re able to return to the feelings and beliefs you formed at the time they were created. These beliefs may have been running in the background ever since, shaping how you react to things in the present, sometimes in ways that feel out of proportion to what’s actually happening now.
Once we can see where a reaction is really coming from, it becomes possible not just to understand it but to change it.
Unlike conventional hypnotherapy which relies on positive reinforcement, or traditional talking therapies that focus on managing symptoms, RTT® uses neuroplasticity techniques to instil new, empowering beliefs that support the life you want to live.
If you want to overcome fears, let go of self-limiting beliefs or change habits and behaviours that no longer work for you, then RTT® may be for you.
Sessions work best when you come with openness, and a willingness to sit with difficult emotions as we explore past experiences that may be painful. So, this journey to understanding will require commitment and receptiveness from you.
My role is to walk alongside you, helping you build the self-awareness and self-belief to carry that change forward on your own.
If you feel ready to make ever-lasting change in your life, please do get in touch and we can arrange a free 30 minute consultation.
RTT® can help with any personal issue that is holding you back and causing you pain. Below are some of the areas I support through RTT®, hypnotherapy and NLP.
Mood and Emotional Support
Anxiety
Many people experience anxiety as a sense of always being “on alert”, racing thoughts, a tight chest, and a fast heart rate. Using RTT®, we can get to the root of what’s driving the anxiety, enabling calmer, steadier responses to be put in place.
Stress
Stress often builds when pressure, overwhelm and responsibility pile up.
RTT® helps unpick the beliefs and habits keeping your nervous system in overdrive, so things start to feel manageable again.
Depression
Depression can feel like heaviness, disconnection, or a loss of motivation.
RTT® works with the subconscious to release old emotional blocks, helping you rebuild inner strength.
Panic Attacks
Panic attacks can happen without warning, leaving you frightened and drained.
RTT® traces the trigger back to where it started and helps change the emotional response, so panic isn’t the default.
Anger
Anger is often the surface emotion of something older, such as unmet needs, past hurt or emotional overload. RTT® can help you understand where it comes from, so you can feel it without being ruled by it.
Trauma and Deep-Rooted Experiences
Childhood Issues/Trauma
The experiences of childhood shape how we think, feel and react, often long before we have any say in it. RTT® uncovers where these patterns began, helping you set down what’s no longer yours to carry.
PTSD
Trauma can leave the mind and body stuck in protective mode, braced for danger that has already passed. RTT® supports reprocessing what happened, helping you rebuild a genuine sense of safety.
Confidence and Personal Growth
Confidence
Confidence is shaped by the beliefs you hold about yourself. RTT® helps shift self-doubt into a steadier sense of what you’re capable of.
Self-esteem
Low self-esteem often comes from outdated, subconscious beliefs, rather than the truth of who you are now. RTT® can help you reconnect with your worth and develop a healthier self-image.
Public speaking
Fear of public speaking is usually less about the audience and more about old fears of being judged. RTT® rewires that response, so you can speak with far more ease.
Relationship issues
The patterns that repeat in relationships often trace back to deeper beliefs about connection, safety and attachment styles. RTT® supports healthier communication and boundaries, so those patterns don’t have to keep repeating.
Habits and Behavioural Change
Procrastination
Procrastination is rarely laziness, it’s usually fear, overwhelm or perfectionism in disguise. RTT® gets to the root of what’s causing the avoidance, so taking action starts to feel possible.
Smoking
Smoking is often tied less to the habit itself, but what it’s giving you emotionally.
RTT® helps you build something in its place.
Weight issues
Weight challenges are frequently connected to emotional eating, body image, or beliefs formed a long time ago. RTT® looks at the root cause, not just the behaviour, to support lasting change.
Mind and Body Wellbeing
Sleep problems
Sleep issues often arise from a mind that won’t switch off due to stress, overthinking or unresolved emotions. RTT® helps quiet that noise and reset your relationship with rest.
Migraines
Migraines can be closely linked to stress and emotional triggers. RTT® works on relaxation and release, giving your nervous system room to settle.
Fears and phobias
Fears and phobias are nearly always rooted in something protective that’s outlived its purpose. RTT® helps reframe these responses and reduce emotional intensity, so it no longer holds you back.
If any of these sound familiar, particularly if you feel you’ve been dealing with something for a long time, and what you’ve tried before has only ever touched the surface, then that’s a sign your unconscious mind is still holding onto old beliefs. RTT® is designed to go beneath the surface, to ensure change lasts.
A session typically lasts 2 hours and we’ll meet every 3-4 weeks to allow for time and space for you to absorb changes between visits.
